Today was one of those days when I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get everything done that needed doing. In fact, I’m sure many things were left unattended. Getting school lunches ready, business matters, reading time, laundry, taking my son for a bike ride, and so much more filled the day quicker than I had intended. Nevertheless, I managed to get some shots in. I wanted to capture my son’s shoes today. It was I set out to do but wasn’t able to get satisfactory frames of the original setting I had wanted—him riding his bike. I was watching for obstacles, helping him learn to balance, and just more attentive of him than my camera. I loved every minute of it. So, I perservered and tried again when it finally came time to sit down for dinner. He usually swings his feet wildly under the table but for some reason tonight he sat cross-legged and very still. I grabbed the camera as fast I could without him noticing and caught a few frames before joining him for the meal. It was a great day.
